Tiger Nuts are a brilliant bait with high levels of natural sugars and 'coconutty' taste - mouth-watering! The chufa or tiger nut is an edible tuber that has become one of the most popular fishing baits. Fish on the whole go ape for them, and they are self ground baiting, making them excellent for use on large waters, you know sooner or later a fish will find them, or the remnants!

Be warned lots of different fish love tigers including Roach and Tench, especially if they are in their fermented gloopy syrup! Cooking them and then adding sugar, cola honey and molasses is a devastating combination

Cooking - soak in warm water for 24 hrs then boil/simmer for 30-45 mins
